What is a fragrance tester? A tester is the same authentic fragrance you would receive in the standard retail version—the same scent, formula, concentration, and bottle size. The difference is mainly the packaging.

Testers are originally produced for fragrance counters and displays, so they may come in a plain white or brown box instead of the decorative retail box, and some may arrive without a cap depending on the manufacturer. The fragrance itself is not diluted, used, or lower quality.

If you care more about the fragrance than the fancy box, testers are a great way to get the real thing for less.
